We are looking for a Product Owner to join our BUX team based in Amsterdam.

What you will do

As a Product Owner, you will drive and evolve the entire onboarding journey and the internal platforms that support our operational teams. Your work will ensure onboarding flows remain simple, fast, and compliant, while internal systems are reliable, efficient, and easy to use.

This team owns two critical pillars that keep BUX moving:

  1. User onboarding platform, maintaining the backend services and rules that handle KYC, identity verification, and regulatory checks, serving as the foundation for all user-facing onboarding flows at BUX.

  2. Internal platforms (including our Back Office Portal) are used by Customer Support, Operations, and Customer Due Diligence teams to manage workflows, investigations, escalations, and regulatory checks.

You’ll partner closely with Compliance, Operations, and Customer Support teams to understand requirements, automate complex processes, and support the teams who keep BUX running behind the scenes. You’ll also identify opportunities to optimise conversion and reduce friction in user onboarding, leveraging feature flags, A/B testing, and user research to validate improvements and minimise risk. We value clarity, collaboration, and high ownership across both user-facing and operational systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and drive the strategy and roadmap across both onboarding flows and internal operational tools

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding experience, from KYC and verification to regulatory checks and funnel optimisation

  • Lead the development of the internal platforms used by CS, Ops, and CDD, improving efficiency, automation, and usability

  • Work with Compliance and Operations to ensure systems are compliant, auditable, and aligned with operational needs

  • Monitor performance across onboarding funnels and internal processes, and proactively drive improvements to conversion, speed, and accuracy

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner for consumer-facing products or internal operational tools, working closely with teams like Customer Support, Operations, or Compliance.

  • Strong understanding of user onboarding and KYC/AML processes, with the ability to translate complex operational workflows into simple, reliable product solutions.

  • A structured, analytical mindset, balancing user-facing conversion goals with internal efficiency, using data and feedback to guide decisions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, international environment.

Nice to have:

  • Ability to use AI tools to accelerate product discovery, workflow optimisation, and documentation.
