Role Overview: As a Data Engineer at Baresquare, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data architecture, focusing on introducing innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency and speed of data processing. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and optimizing data systems that support robust analysis and decision-making. Collaboration with diverse teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions will be key to your success.

We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of our technology stack or similar, particularly in Apache Airflow (MWAA), Python, NodeJS, and AWS, with some exposure to GCP. Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is also essential for this role.

The role can be remote but based in Greece, ideally Thessaloniki. For this position, we will not accept applications outside of Greece.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and development of Baresquare’s enterprise data platform.
• Implement and maintain our data pipeline & orchestration services, extract structured and unstructured data, transform, and prepare them for insight generation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions and product features.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
• Comply with data security and regulations within the EU and US regions.
• Ensure all developed solutions and data pipelines meet the highest quality standards for production environments, focusing on reliability and maintainability.
• Document data engineering processes, best practices, and standards.
