Product Owner FCR (m/f/d) Munich, Berlin or Hamburg

We are looking for you as an addition to our tech-team in Berlin, Munich or Hamburg. 1KOMMA5° is building Germany's largest one-stop-shop for sale, installation and services related to solar, heat pumps, electricity and charging infrastructure. And they are all connected! Be a part of our mission!

Your mission

In tech we have two main work streams:

  • Heartbeat: Building a virtual power plant levering our energy manager “Heartbeat” and evolving the customer experience app around this
  • Operating System for installation companies: Digitisation of operations and processes from ground operations to rooftop installations

At 1KOMMA5°, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our growing team. In this critical position, you will take ownership of our FCR product, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the development and delivery of a robust and effective solution for managing frequency containment reserve services in the energy market.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the FCR product that aligns with company goals and market demands.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including energy regulators, utilities, and technology partners, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Feature Definition: Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize features, functionality, and enhancements for the FCR product.
  • User Story Creation: Translate high-level requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision.
  • Backlog Management: Build, maintain and prioritize the FCR product backlog, ensuring it reflects market priorities and is ready for development.
  • Development Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure that the FCR product is developed according to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with energy market regulations and requirements related to FCR, ensuring that the product complies with all necessary standards.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure the FCR product functions as intended and meets regulatory standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the FCR product, including user stories, technical specifications, and compliance documents.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor the energy market and competition to identify opportunities for product improvements and enhancements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the FCR product's effectiveness and market impact.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Energy Management, Engineering, Business) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the energy or power sector.
  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, frequency containment reserve services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and product management best practices.
  • Experience with energy market software solutions and tools is a plus.
  • Product Owner certification is a plus.
