Your mission:

Here at the The Exploration Company we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented AIT intern to help us in our mission by supporting the mechanical activities and potentially the launch campaign on our demonstrator capsule.

You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:

• Procedures writing (for propulsion activities and test)

• Supporting the mechanical operations on propulsive system

• Supporting, if needed, Thermal Test preparation and bonding

• Helping out on development of test setups on Nyx

Tasks:

Your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

• You will be supporting the writing of the procedures detailing the operations on the propulsive system for our current capsule

• You will be supporting the assembly and integration of the propulsive system on the Capsule in Munich

• You will be supporting the assembly activities related to Mechanical and Fluidic ground support equipment (M/FGSE).

• You will perform basic machining operations like manual drilling, cutting, milling as required to prepare samples or ground equipment.

• You will contribute to our processes improvement with the lessons learns of the previous operations

• You will be supporting the procurement of new tools for our new generation capsule

What we would love to see from you:

In the role of Mechanical intern ideally, you will have the following:

• Studying for an Engineering degree (Master) in mechanical science or equivalent

• Willingness to contribute to the successful testing of our Capsule Propulsion system

• Hands-on approach

• Independent, organized and rigorous

• Inventive and problem solver
