Job Description

Our Freight Operations team is a group of 14 passionate professionals working on the daily coordination of shipments and transports. We manage ordering and monitoring processes, organize operational infrastructure, and align with freight forwarders and partners to ensure a stable, efficient network.

As a Working Student in Freight Operations, you will support the team by maintaining data quality in our Transport Management System (TMS), managing transport-related tickets, assisting with operational analysis, and contributing to process optimization across the network. This is a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world transport and logistics challenges while collaborating closely with Freight Forwarding, Product & Software Development, and the Operational Excellence teams.

The essence of your role

  • Manage and resolve transport-related tickets via the ticketing system.
  • Work with the Transport Management System (TMS) to update and maintain transport data, ensuring high data quality.
  • Assist with process and data analysis within first-mile logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with Freight Forwarding, Product & Software Development, and provide ad-hoc support to the Operational Excellence team.
  • Support the analysis of operational performance issues and contribute to operations-related projects.

Qualifications

This is what you need to succeed

  • You are currently enrolled in a German university program. You are looking for a part-time position (20 hours per week) for at least 1 year
  • An educational background in logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred for the best fit.
  • You are proficient in Excel, additional knowhow of SQL and/or dashboarding tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau would be an advantage.
  • Experience in logistics or e-commerce-related fields is a plus, but not required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; German would be an advantage.
