Description
Regulus is seeking a Field Service Engineer to be a part of our efforts for customer support, technical training, and field demonstrations across our product family. You’ll work directly with military customers, traveling to deliver hands-on training, troubleshoot systems in the field, participate in customer evaluations, and showcase our counter-UAS solutions at events and demonstrations.
This is a Remote position within the US, however the company is currently only considering candidates based in the Washington, D.C. or St. Louis, MO areas. This is a field-focused role for someone who thrives working with customers and wants to build expertise across our expanding Ring platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Train military customers on Ring system operation, setup, and maintenance across our platforms.
- Build training material, as well as support knowledge base articles, to improve our support methodologies.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.
- Conduct product demonstrations and field showcases at customer sites and industry events.
- Travel extensively (mainly within the US, ~50% or more at peak times) to support customer needs and represent Regulus in the field.
- Support product knowledge development as the Ring family expands.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position because the role requires eligibility for U.S. Government security-clearance, government-site-access, and/or customer contract requirements applicable to defense programs. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any U.S. Government security clearance and customer access authorization required for the role.
- Experience in field operations of multidisciplinary / RF / C-UAS systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional customer-facing presence.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (~50%+).
- Background or familiarity with UAS systems, counter-UAS operations, or related defense technology – Strong advantage.
- Commercial drone pilot license (FAA Part 107) or equivalent UAS operating experience – Strong advantage.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Essential functions of the role include, with or without reasonable accommodation, the:
- Ability to work in outdoor field environments under various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry/lift technical equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
Regulus will provide reasonable accommodations consistent with applicable law.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 / year (Depending on experience). Employees in this role are eligible for healthcare benefits and other Regulus benefit programs, subject to plan terms.
