Description

Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth.

This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future.

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Team Leader to drive the development of high-performance, MIL-hardened systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between visionary design and rugged serial production, leading a growing team to solve complex mechanical and thermal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a growing mechanical engineering team, managing schedules, resources, and priorities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Drive the complete development cycle—from initial concept and prototyping to serial production, including ECO processes and documentation.
  • Create complex assemblies optimized for durability, ease of assembly (DFA), and simplified field repair.
  • Act as the primary focal point for system-level thermal design, including simulation, prototyping, and qualification testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Electronics and PCB designers to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.
  • Oversee product evolution through new generations, field-issue resolution, and continuous optimization for performance and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. preferred).
  • 10+ years in mechanical design, with a focus on mechanisms and enclosures for harsh environments.
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
  • Proven experience with military standards like MIL-STD-810 and RTCA/DO-160.
  • Deep knowledge of CNC, sheet metal, mold design, and 3D printing techniques.
  • A self-starter with a "system-level" perspective, high accountability, and the ability to learn complex new concepts rapidly.
