Posted on Jan 29, 2026

Raisin is the world's leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global +150 trillion euro market.

Raisin works with over 300 banks. Today, the platform holds over 75 billion euros in assets from around one million customers which have accrued over 5 billion euros in interest with their investments.

Team

The Investment and Pension Products (IPP) tribe at Raisin builds Raisin’s capital markets–based products, enabling customers to grow their wealth with confidence. We take complex, highly regulated financial systems and turn them into easy, transparent, and scalable product experiences. This is core to Raisin’s mission, given the central role these product lines play in Raisin becoming the home for our customers’ wealth.

As part of the IPP tribe, we are building a new cross-functional engineering team focused on the further internationalisation of Raisin’s investment products. The team owns the design, development, and operation of its services end-to-end, following a “you build it, you run it” mindset. This includes responsibility for system reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement in close collaboration with Product, Risk, and other stakeholders.

Your Team’s Stack

  • Backend: Java (Sprint Boot), MySQL, Kafka, AWS
  • Web: TypeScript, ReactJS
  • Mobile: TypeScript, React Native

Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the full end-to-end delivery cycle, from requirements analysis and effort estimation through design, implementation, QA, delivery, and support.
  • You hire, lead, and continuously develop a cross-functional engineering team consisting of Backend Engineers (Java, Python), Web Frontend Engineers (React, Next.js), and Mobile Engineers (React Native). You ensure strong collaboration across disciplines, clear ownership, and sustainable team growth aligned with product and business goals.
  • You nurture an inspiring environment with open communication and a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • You are hands-on and technically strong in at least one core discipline (Backend, Web, or Mobile), and you provide technical oversight and guidance across the other disciplines in your team, ensuring sound architectural decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.
  • You ensure that clean, maintainable, and efficient code is written across the team’s tech stack, and that the systems owned by your team meet high standards for performance, reliability, security, and availability.
  • You proactively identify and resolve delivery, technical, and organizational impediments, and mitigate risks for your team.
  • When escalation is required, you do so in a timely manner with a well-articulated mitigation or solution plan.
  • You collaborate closely with your team’s Product Manager and Tech Lead to ensure strong alignment on priorities, scope, and technical direction.
  • You facilitate the team’s work on strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring predictable and sustainable delivery.
  • Together with the Product Manager, you drive the OKR process for your team, including objective communication, key result definition, team commitment, and alignment with individual target agreements.
  • You recruit, hire, and onboard engineers into the team, ensuring high hiring standards and smooth integration into the organization.
  • You develop your engineers’ technical and soft skills in line with team, tribe, and company goals.
  • You define clear expectations, craft individual development plans with each team member, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • You identify training opportunities and actively support the growth and career progression of your engineers.
  • You recognize high performance and reward accomplishments, and you address underperformance in a timely, transparent, and constructive manner.
  • You establish, maintain, and uphold strong performance and quality standards for your direct reports and the team as a whole.

Your Profile

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • You bring at least 2 years of leadership and people management experience, ideally in a remote or hybrid setup, with a strong focus on reliable delivery and team outcomes.
  • You have deep hands-on experience (typically 8+ years) in one core engineering discipline (Backend, Web Frontend, or Mobile) and the ability to provide technical oversight, challenge decisions, and guide engineers across other disciplines.
  • You know how to manage software projects end-to-end and drive successful delivery in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • You have up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices, and you are comfortable working with teams across Backend and Frontend technologies (e.g. Java/Spring Boot, modern web frameworks).
  • You are comfortable participating in and facilitating code, design, and architecture discussions, balancing technical depth with pragmatic decision-making.
  • You bring experience with cloud-based architectures, ideally including AWS services, Kubernetes, and event-driven systems.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; you are fluent in English. German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
