Goals of the internship
This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of clinical trials and to help generate scientific insights that will facilitate and inform future widespread use of this novel neurotechnology. The intern will plan and execute validation testing and documentation of developed tools, improve their performance, and help generate insights from their use in clinical trials.

The intern will plan and execute validation testing and documentation of developed tools, improve their performance, and help generate insights from their use in clinical trials.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of the Clinical Science team, the intern will:
- Familiarize themselves with ONWARD Medical’s portfolio of technologies and studies, particularly the ARC-IM System and the Empower BP pivotal trial.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members (Clinical and Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations and Software) to understand trial execution needs.
- Conduct software tool validation and user acceptance testing in collaboration with tool developers and relevant clinical, regulatory, and quality stakeholders.
- Contribute to the refinement of tools to better meet user needs, as applicable.
- Support data interpretation and generation of scientific insights resulting from the use of these tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in health sciences, biomedical engineering, data science, or related field.
- Fluent in English, proficiency in French is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Python, other coding languages (SQL, JavaScript, R) are a bonus
- Familiarity with data protection and clinical research regulations (such as Good Clinical Practices ISO 14155/ICH GCP E6, GDPR, HIPAA) is highly appreciated
- Experience with cloud platforms and software testing is a plus.
