ONWARD Medical develops breakthrough therapies that restore movement and independence in people living with spinal cord injuries. Our Software & Digital Team plays a critical role in this mission by building high-quality Android applications and cloud data services that power our therapy platforms.

To continue advancing our technology and impact, we are looking for a motivated and talented student with Engineering and Software skills to join our team and contribute to a real-world medical innovation.

What You’ll Work On
Depending on your interests and current project priorities, you may be involved in:
  • Architecture & Development
    Contributing to the design and implementation of our medical device software subsystem using Kotlin for Android.
  • Quality & Reliability
    Performing investigations, analysis, debugging, and testing to ensure our systems meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
  • Cloud Connectivity
    Developing and enhancing features that integrate our mobile applications with secure cloud backend services.
  • Deployment & Infrastructure Tools
    Supporting and improving tools for mobile device deployment, device fleet management, and other infrastructure solutions.

* Programming languages such as Kotlin, .NET, C#, Java
* Python / scripting languages
* Automated testing framework as Espresso, Cucumber, Robolectric
* CI/CD Setups
* Advanced level of English
* Applicants must already hold a valid Swiss work/student permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship)
