The Junior GL Accountant is responsible for accurate book-keeping and administration. Job role involves execution of tasks while following effective internal controls over financial transactions in line with the defined process. Furthermore, GL Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate processing and delivery of assigned tasks and reports as required by the team.

Responsibilities

• Capture all purchase and expense invoices on a daily basis in line with the process, cost centers, projects and obtain timely approvals for payment.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries as needed.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other GL accounts with bank statements.

• Perform analysis or prepare reports on purchase orders and invoices as needed.

• Manage tools incidental to Finance activities (eg. Expenses, leaves, travel requests)

• Supporting the Auditor, Controller and Sr. Accountant in their duties as needed
