Your mission
We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) to own the development of electrical subsystems for our prototypes and innovative products. You will drive the entire development cycle from the concept phase until the realization. For our in-house systems and prototypes, you will define concepts and specifications, implement the design and supervise the assembly and testing. You contribute to the entire development cycle of our products that are designed and manufactured in close collaboration with our product development partners.
- You are the expert for the electrical aspects in the development of our prototypes and products and define the overall system concept and architecture with other engineers
- You develop the electrical concept and system-level architecture for our in-house systems and commercial products on a functional block level and define a control strategy
- You work with mechanical and automation engineers to specify and select components for our systems and products
- You are responsible for designing the electrical subsystems and creating technical documentation such as schematics and wiring diagrams
- You collaborate with automation engineers on PLC-controlled test setups, creating wiring diagrams for machine cabinets in EPLAN, defining system power requirements and selecting appropriate I/O modules for analog and digital signal processing
- You design analog signal conditioning circuits for sensors and actuators using off-the-shelf components or custom-designed PCBs (in Altium Designer), e.g. to read out magnetic field sensors or to drive coils in the audio-frequency range
- You simulate coils and magnets in COMSOL Multiphysics
- You create assembly documents and coordinate the prototype manufacturing with our engineers and technicians
- You prepare a test plan and supervise the system characterization, testing and data analysis
- You collaborate closely with our product development partner and provide technical expertise for all electrical topics throughout the design process of our commercial products
- You write technology transfer documents and specify electrical requirements
- You review design documents and test and verification reports
