• Infrastructure & networking: Design, implement, and maintain the facility’s network end to end—LAN/WLAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls, and VPN. Plan capacity, segment the network, and ensure secure, reliable connectivity across the site.
• Structured cabling & site buildout: Manage and support structured cabling, server/network rooms (MDF/IDF), racks, power, and physical IT infrastructure for a new start up facility.
• Server & systems implementation: Manage deployment and administer on-premises and cloud server infrastructure (Windows Server, virtualization, hybrid Active Directory/Entra), storage, and backup/disaster-recovery solutions.
• Security & compliance: Implement and enforce security controls—endpoint protection, identity and access management, MFA, patching, logging, and monitoring—and align local practices with corporate security standards and compliance requirements.
• Endpoint & collaboration management: Own the device lifecycle in Microsoft Intune (Windows/macOS/iOS/Android), and administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, and SharePoint/OneDrive, including provisioning, permissions, and licensing.
• End-user support & service: Serve as the local escalation point and provide hands-on support for users on-site, partnering with the global Service Desk to resolve issues quickly and keep the business running.
• Leadership, processes & vendors: Build and lead the local IT team as the site scales, define standards, documentation, and processes, and manage vendors, procurement, and IT budget for the entity.
What We Look Forward To• Several years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure ownership.
• Hands-on networking expertise: switching, routing, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are a plus.
• Experience planning structured cabling and server/network room or new-site buildouts.
• Strong server and systems skills: Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Active Directory, and backup/disaster recovery.
• Solid administration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (users, groups, MFA, guest access, licensing).
• Endpoint management with Intune (enrollment, profiles/policies, compliance, app deployment); strong understanding of Windows, with macOS/iOS/Android a plus.
• Solid grasp of IT security fundamentals: endpoint protection, identity and access, patching, and monitoring.
• Experience with PowerShell and a strong interest in using and enhancing scripts for automation and standardization.
• Vendor and project management experience, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Structured, service-oriented way of working and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken (B2 or higher); German is a plus.
• Degree in IT or Computer Science, completed vocational training in IT, or comparable qualification and experience.
