In the AI Department, you'll develop the cognitive abilities of our robots, enabling them to understand and interact with their surroundings. You'll work on algorithms that make machines intelligent and adaptive—ranging from object recognition and language processing to decision-making in complex environments. You'll be part of a team that pushes technological boundaries and collaborates closely with software, hardware, and product management teams. Using cutting-edge tools and methods from machine learning and AI, you'll work on projects that have a direct impact on our products. Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end teleoperation architectures for humanoid and bimanual robotic systems

Drive development of ultra-low-latency control pipelines for real-time robot operation

Manage and mentor a team of robotics and software engineers focused on teleoperation, controls, and deployment

Define system architecture for motion mapping, control abstraction, latency compensation, and fail-safe operation

Oversee integration of perception systems including vision, depth sensing, force/torque sensing, and tactile feedback

Collaborate with AI and autonomy teams to enable teleoperation-driven data collection for imitation learning and reinforcement learning

Own deployment and validation of teleoperation systems on physical robots in production and customer-facing environments

Support strategic customer projects, demos, trade shows, and prototype initiatives

Drive technical decision-making, engineering standards, and scalable software practices across the robotics platform

Partner cross-functionally with hardware, AI research, cloud infrastructure, and product leadership teams

Master’s degree or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
-
6+ years of experience in robotics software engineering, teleoperation systems, or robotic control systems
-
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams or leading large-scale technical initiatives

Strong expertise in robotic kinematics, motion planning, control systems, and real-time robotics software

Advanced programming skills in C++ and/or Python

Deep experience with ROS/ROS2 and deployment on real robotic hardware

Strong understanding of humanoid robotics, dual-arm systems, or dexterous manipulation

Experience with simulation environments such as Isaac Sim or MuJoCo

Familiarity with VR systems, haptic devices, motion capture, or exoskeleton-based control interfaces

Experience supporting AI data collection pipelines for robot learning, imitation learning, or autonomous systems

Strong communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional technical programs

Fluent English required; German is a plus

Experience building scalable robotics infrastructure for embodied AI systems

Background in reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or robot foundation models

Cloud robotics or distributed systems experience

Prior experience in high-growth robotics or autonomous systems companies
