Define and maintain the system test strategy for complex robotic systems across the full development lifecycle (V-model)

Create and review system test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on system and user requirements

Ensure requirements traceability, test coverage, and quality reporting

Drive an automation-first testing approach with hands-on involvement (Python-based test automation, Robot Framework for system/acceptance testing, BDD using Cucumber)

Integrate test management tools (e.g. Xray for Jira) with automated test execution

Embed system testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) to enable continuous testing

Analyze system-level defects and perform root cause analysis, including network and protocol analysis (e.g. Wireshark)

Collaborate closely with development and systems engineering teams to improve overall product quality

Maintain test documentation, guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes

Participate in quality gates, release readiness reviews, and acceptance milestones
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable qualification
- 6+ years of experience in system testing, validation, or verification of complex systems (robotics, industrial automation, automotive, or similar domains)
- Strong experience in system test automation with Python
- Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, including virtualization
- Experience with Robot Framework, BDD (Cucumber), Test management tools (e.g. Xray / Jira), Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
- Good scripting skills (Shell required, PowerShell is a plus)
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage and willingness to learn is expected
