As a (Senior) Data Analyst at Nelly, you'll transform fragmented health and finance data into scalable, trustworthy models, creating a single source of truth that powers company-wide strategic decisions. Your role goes beyond answering business questions: you'll own the core analytics logic, challenge requirements, and define how we measure business health.

About Nelly

We are building the AI-Driven Financial Operating System for European healthcare, solving the biggest challenges for patients and practices. We create what no bank or software platform can handle. Our all-in-one platform transforms chaotic administrative processes into intelligent, automated workflows, from patient care to billing to next-generation payments. Because we truly believe: healthcare should be less about paperwork and more about people.

Why? Because Europe is facing a massive shortage of medical professionals. And if we don't rethink the way practices work, the system won't be able to keep up. With our Series B funding of over €50 million from world-class investors, we are turning our vision into reality.

What to expect: We work with the best team, which is why we give everything together every day. We believe in Talent Density, because exceptional people make everyone around them better. At Nelly, we move fast and expect everyone to keep up. Stagnation isn’t an option, which is why we invest heavily in growth. AI isn't a nice-to-have at Nelly. We expect you to use it every day and give you everything you need to do so. You get trust and ownership and we expect you to speak up, even when it's uncomfortable.

Joining us, you will

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt and strong SQL, with a focus on robust data marts and a clean semantic layer.

  • Own the BI layer (Looker/LookML) end-to-end, creating self-service Explores that give the entire company a single source of truth for analysis.

  • Translate complex business logic into structured data models, including topics such as Customer Health Scores, NRR (cohort-based), CAC Payback, product unit economics, churn, provisions, and commercial KPIs.

  • Unify and harmonize data across systems such as Salesforce, Product Data, HubSpot, Jira, Intercom, Personio, and internal booking/factoring systems.

  • Develop end-to-end reporting solutions from requirement gathering and data validation to Looker dashboards and stakeholder-ready reports.

Build advanced analyses such as:

  • Sales funnel and GTM performance tracking

  • Commercial KPI automation

  • Cohort-based NRR, CAC payback and churn analytics

  • Revenue reconciliation (Signed vs. Actual Revenue)

  • Customer and usage benchmarks (including regional usage / booking patterns)

Ensuring data quality and cross-functional alignment:

  • Identify gaps in data collection and instrumentation before modeling begins, ensuring quality, consistency, and long-term scalability

  • Establish tests and validation logic in dbt to guarantee reliability and transparency across data models

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Commercial and Finance to deeply understand the processes generating the data

  • Support system alignment between tools to ensure consistent reporting logic across the organization

What you'll bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, modular query design and dimensional data modeling (star schemas, fact/dimension design).

  • Production experience designing and maintaining scalable data models using modern transformation tools (e.g. dbt, SQLMesh, Metabase), including testing and documentation.

  • Experience developing SQL-based data marts and self-service explores BI-tool with modeling capabilities (e.g. Looker)

  • Solid understanding of revenue metrics (MRR, NRR, churn, cohort logic), SaaS KPIs, and GTM performance metrics.

  • Experience integrating and modeling data from tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, CRM systems, and financial systems.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks.

  • A proactive mindset - you question definitions, challenge inconsistencies, and improve processes instead of just reporting on them.

  • Fluency in SQL; Experience in dbt and Looker/LookML is a plus

  • Professional proficiency in English; German is a plus.
