We’re on the lookout for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team at our office in Berlin. Join us in building the largest AI enabled fintech for healthcare!
You will be joining our Connector domain, which focuses on connecting Nelly with various practice management systems (PMS). As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible managing and growing a team of highly skilled engineers and ensuring your team delivers outstanding results in both technology and business outcomes.

Joining us, you will

  • Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team of 3–6 software engineers specialising in connector development.
  • Work with modern technologies such as Rust. We host everything on AWS and manage our infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with the product manager to define the roadmap and priorities for your team, while coordinating with dependencies across the company.
  • Take ownership of the quality and security of the software within your team and drive initiatives to continuously improve it.
  • Your responsibilities will roughly be divided as follows: 40% delivery, 30% people management, and 30% hands-on technical work.
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Nelly’s engineering leadership team.
  • Be part of the recruitment pipeline.

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years managing an engineering team.
  • A strong technical background with hands-on experience in building connections between SaaS products and on-premise systems.
  • Experience working with the Rust ecosystem and public cloud providers (either AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Proficiency in data and API modelling.
  • A deep understanding of software development processes and the ability to set up a team for success.
  • Empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience at developing, mentoring and growing a high performing team.
  • Proficiency in English, German knowledge is a big plus.
