As a (Senior) Associate - Venture Development for the Laser Operations Team you will work closely with the Scientists & Engineers from the Laser & Infrastructure Teams and be the key interface to the corporate functions e.g. Accounting, Purchasing, Financial Planning to oversee the ongoing projects/programs in a holistic way and lead the operational tasks for laser-related projects across the company. Furthermore, you will take ownership in applying and managing publicly funded projects and take over stakeholder management. Lastly, you will support in building up the supply chain and establishing strategic partnerships.

Your responsibilities

  • Conception, coordination, and management of strategic and operational projects with internal and external partners
  • Analysis and evaluation of new business and partnerships
  • Intensive cross-functional communication with all departments
  • Financial Budget Planning & regular Reporting to Laser/Infrastructure Management Team
  • Make sure the program is on track while keeping the team focused and motivated

What you bring to the table

  • You have completed a Masters or PhD degree in business, finance, industrial engineering, physics, or a similar field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an operations, strategy, or similar role (i.e. in a strategy consultancy, strategy department or working in a high-growth startup)
  • Successful completion of a complex project either in a private or professional context
  • Fluency in English and conversational communication skills in German (B2+ level) are mandatory
  • Hands-on experience with Project Management Tools
