The impact you will make
We are seeking a dynamic Intern to join our Diagnostic team, where you will gain hands-on experience in a lab and workshop setting. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building and designing electromechanical projects, with a keen interest in supporting various projects through CAD design and practical tasks.
Your responsibilities
- Assist with various hands-on tasks in the lab and workshop environments, with varied tasks including:
- Logistics, clean up, etc.
- Device Assembly, maintenance
- Light electronics work or electrical setups
- Support the Diagnostic and Data team in project development and execution
- Engage in CAD design and modeling to support engineering projects
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions
- Maintain organised and efficient workspaces in the lab and workshop
- Take part in laser matter interaction experiments at various facilities
- Support in data acquisition and organisation and data entry, running analysis scripts etc.
What you bring
- Current enrolment in a university in Germany
- Strong interest in hands-on work and practical problem-solving
- Intermediate proficiency in CAD design tools
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Willingness to travel to off-site facilities throughout Europe
What sets you apart
- Engineering, Product Design or Physics degree
- Experience with Software/embedded hardware programming
- Strong CAD skills
