OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Working Student - Sample Management* to support our Translational Research and Biomarkers team in Tuebingen (Germany).

In this role, you will support clinical trial sample management activities with a focus on PBMC (Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell) workflows, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and coordination of clinical samples. You will contribute to maintaining high data quality and operational efficiency in a dynamic, GxP-regulated environment.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Maintenance and update of sample tracking systems, including digital data entry and data consistency checks to ensure full traceability of clinical trial samples

  • Coordination and tracking of sample-related materials (e.g., aliquot labels, PBMC isolation material)

  • Preparation of shipment-related documentation and support of sample receipt processes

  • Support process improvements and digitalization initiatives (e.g., PBMC workflows)

  • Assistance in data reconciliation between different systems and sources

YOUR PROFILE

You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine, or a related field. Initial experience in a laboratory, clinical, or regulated environment is an advantage.

  • You have an interest in clinical research and sample management processes

  • You are comfortable working with data and digital tools (e.g., Excel)

  • You are reliable and well-organized, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform routine tasks with high accuracy

  • You are able to work independently istafter onboarding and manage defined responsibilities

  • You have good communication skills in English (working proficiency) and preferably German
