OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an (Associate) Manager Sample Management* to support our Translational Research and Biomarkers team in the development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from research and clinical development departments and will contribute to our mission of delivering novel PRAME immunotherapies to patients with cancer.

In this role, you will operate at the interface of clinical operations and translational science, ensuring high-quality sample generation to enable biomarker-driven insights.

The position is a fixed-term role of 18 months as it covers a maternity leave.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Clinical trial sample management in a GxP environment.

  • Main point of contact for Immatics stakeholders and logistics partners, fostering synergies and transparency.

  • Cooperation with external partners and organization of remote or on‑site trainings, including oversight of contractual obligation fulfilment.

  • Coordination of

  • Sample shipment, handling, and receipt from clinical sites in collaboration with external partners and multiple internal departments.

  • PBMC sample processing at clinical sites and with external partners.

  • Distribution of materials and reagents to external partners.

  • Process streamlining across different sample types.

  • Contribution to the design and continuous improvement of translational sample strategies, ensuring alignment of operational execution with scientific objectives.

  • Support of innovation in sample management through implementation of new technologies, digital solutions, and process optimization measures.

  • Ownership and maintenance of centralized tracking systems to ensure full visibility and traceability of clinical trial samples.

  • Review and contribution to sample‑related sections of clinical trial documents (e.g., laboratory manuals, SOPs), ensuring scientific accuracy and GxP compliance.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine or a related discipline. Knowledge of immunology and/ or oncology is an advantage.

We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning and excellent communication skills in English (at least C1-Level) and preferably German. You have highly developed organizational skills, embrace rapidly changing requirements with an open mind and show a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence and optimization. You approach tasks in a structured, reliable and foresighted manner, combined with an elevated level of individual responsibility, enthusiasm and strong social skills.
