OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a (Senior) Cyber Security Specialist* to strengthen our IT department. You will work in Tübingen, Munich or remote (based in Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Germany and the US and will contribute to our mission of delivering novel PRAME immunotherapies to patients with cancer.

This role offers the opportunity to deepen and expand your cybersecurity expertise in a collaborative setting. With exposure to a wide range of security topics, it’s particularly well-suited for candidates who bring a solid foundation and are eager to grow beyond a narrowly defined role.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Respond to and manage incoming security tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.

• Assist in gathering and organizing information for security reviews and audits.

• Help configure and maintain security policies and settings across systems and applications.

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of user awareness campaigns to improve cybersecurity practices across the organization.

• Support the investigation of minor security incidents and assist in documenting findings.

• Collaborate with team members to analyze and address potential vulnerabilities.

• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a completed apprenticeship or university degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field, and have acquired at least 2 years of relevant work experience. A basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices is expected, proficiency in tools such as endpoint protection software, security information and event management (SIEM) systems as well as log management solutions is preferred. Additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+) and experience with technical troubleshooting or ticketing systems are an advantage.

We value strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail, along with a precise and consistent approach to following established processes and procedures. You demonstrate resilience and focus when carrying out time-critical tasks, showing excellent organizational and time management skills. Your drive stems from a genuine eagerness to learn and grow within the field of cybersecurity. A high proficiency in English (German is a plus), combined with effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, round out your profile.
