Overview
We are currently seeking a Scientist* to strengthen our Target Bioanalytics department. You will work in Tübingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Germany and the US (Houston, TX). Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate histological analyses of pre-clinical samples and patient biopsies. You will employ your technical expertise and creativity to address scientific questions related to our targeted immunotherapies.
  • Broaden the team’s understanding of our targets in the context of health and disease by analyzing scientific literature and accessing external as well as internal data. Based on your analyses, you will provide strategic recommendations for deeper target validation.
  • You will strive for optimizing our portfolio of histological techniques and improving our image analysis capabilities.
  • Thorough documentation compliant with regulatory requirements and presentation of your results to internal and external stakeholders will equally be part of your responsibilities.
Your profile
  • PhD in life sciences, with knowledge of cancer biology or similar fields plus a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Experience with experimental design, project coordination, execution and results reporting with a high degree of independence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in chromogenic immunohistochemistry (IHC), in-situ hybridization (ISH), multiplexed immunofluorescence (mIF). Experience with spatial multiplex technology or laser-capture microdissection (LCM) is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with whole slide scanning, digital pathology and automated image analysis.
  • Experience with automated staining platforms strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
