Overview
We are currently seeking a Sampling Oversight Manager* to strengthen our Clinical Operations department. You will work in Tübingen, Munich or Germany home-based in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Germany and Houston (TX). Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Oversight of operational activities throughout the clinical trials related to clinical trial samples within internal clinical trial testing labs (incl. sampling, storage, transfer, analysis, reporting)
  • Primary contact for clinical trial teams related to internal clinical trial sample management
  • Status reporting to clinical trial teams
  • Collaboration with internal and external Functional Area Experts (i.e., Clinical Operations Lead, Correlative Studies Lead, Translational Lead, any sample owner, etc.) to define clinical trial specific central testing requirements (e.g., sample collection timepoints, sample type and volume, sample labelling, analysis method, sample shipment, storage and destruction)
  • Collaboration with Clinical Outsourcing Manager and Clinical Operations Lead for external central laboratory selection
  • Oversight of operational set-up and change activities at internal clinical trial testing labs related to clinical trial sampling and analyses, compliant to the signed clinical trial protocol, signed contract and other clinical trial specifications
  • Ensuring the maintenance of a global clinical trial sample log, tracking the sample status
  • Query Management for clinical trial samples at internal clinical trial testing labs
  • Performing Lab Reconciliation in collaboration with internal clinical trial testing labs and Clinical Data Manager
  • Develop and maintain internal processes, SOPs, guidance documents & training materials related to clinical trial sampling matters
Your profile
You hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree preferably with exposure to sample management procedures within the GCP/ GCLP/ GLP area or equivalent. 2+ years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry, preferably in a laboratory related functional area, is an advantage.
We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning, profound project management skills and excellent communication skills in English. You embrace rapidly changing requirements with an open mind, think outside the box and show a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence. You approach tasks in a structured, reliable and foresighted manner, combined with an elevated level of individual responsibility, enthusiasm and strong social skills.
