We are currently seeking a Scientist TCR Research - Preclinical Safety* to support our team in the development and validation of next generation T cell receptors (TCRs) for our innovative Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) and TCER® product candidates. You will work within the Immatics Discovery Unit based in Tuebingen (Germany) in the TCR Research department, interacting with colleagues from other research departments in a highly interdisciplinary environment. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

•            Characterization, validation and safety testing of TCRs for novel proprietary tumor targets

•            Method development in the context of cellular assays (efficacy and safety)

•            Management of lab operations and staff

•            Contribution to and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory documents

You hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences with a strong hands-on background in immunology, ideally in the context of cancer immunotherapy. Postdoctoral academic or industry experience is beneficial. You have hands-on experience with cell culture and cell-based functional assays, multicolor flow cytometry and ELISA/ Luminex assays as well as experience in basic molecular biology techniques. You have an advanced level of understanding of biostatistical methods and can apply them to assay design and data evaluation. Experience with primary cell and 3D/ organoid cultures, real-time imaging methods and high-throughput automated liquid handling devices is a plus.
