Overview
We are currently seeking a (Senior) Scientific Project Manager* to strengthen our Project Management department in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work preferentially in Tübingen. As alternatives we offer working in Munich or working home based (Germany). You will be welcome to join an interdisciplinary team with colleagues from R&D as well as various other departments across the Company.
Your mission
The Project Management department oversees preclinical and clinical projects from our own drug development pipeline and collaboration programs with biotech and pharma partners. As a Project Manager* you will be assigned to 1-2 development projects or programs with the goal to deliver project objectives successfully on time, on budget and at high quality. Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Management of the project/ program and coordination of its (cross-functional) team and functional leads – in Germany as well as in the US (project dependent)
  • Operative support for the Project Lead and/ or Steering Committees
  • Facilitate efficient interaction between functional areas, functional leads and other stakeholders
  • Relay tasks and information to appropriate sub-teams; track and report back task progress and completion
  • Ownership for overarching topics including project and budget plans and tracking, monitoring and reporting of overall progress and risk management
  • Provide the interface to international, external partners in research collaborations
  • Address project related and scientific topics with the experts to develop and present convincing concepts and solutions
Your profile
You have successfully completed your doctorate in the field of life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a comparable education. You have already proven your ability to manage complex scientific projects using established project management approaches and tools. You gained insights into preclinical and/ or clinical drug development projects in a biotech or pharma environment. Experience in immunology, oncology or cell and gene therapy is an advantage.  Your scientific mindset and your excellent organizational and communication skills enable you to successfully cope with your tasks. Careful preparation and documentation of your work, also in very good English, is perfectly natural to you. You are open to dynamically develop requirements and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility. You enjoy working in an environment where excellence is a constant requirement. You are driven by your passion for innovation and science to facilitate the translation of scientific findings into clinical applications that matter for patients.
