Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Scientist ACT TCR Engineering* to support our team in the development and implementation of next generation T cell receptors (TCRs) for our innovative Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) product candidates. You will work within the Immatics Discovery Unit based in Tuebingen (Germany) in the department of TCR Discovery, interacting with colleagues from other research departments in a highly interdisciplinary environment. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Method development in the context of
- TCR cloning (PCR, primer design, Gibson Assembly, Golden-Gate, overlap extension PCR),
- TCR sequence identification (Next generation sequencing, library preparation)
- Method application in terms of planning, execution and evaluation of
- above mentioned methods.
- Functional T cell assays
- Technology transfer from and to external partners and internal research groups.
- Management of lab operations.
Your profile
You hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences with strong hands-on background in molecular cloning, preferably in the context of immune globulin sequences, e.g. monoclonal antibodies, chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) or surface proteins, ideally in the context of cell therapy.
You embrace rapidly changing requirements with an open mind, think outside the box and show a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence. We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning and excellent communication skills in English. You approach tasks in a structured, reliable and foresighted manner, combined with an elevated level of individual responsibility, enthusiasm and strong social skills. Your motivation is driven by your dedication to innovation and science and your career plan is to excel by applying your creative nature in hands-on experimental work.
