Classification - Full Time, Salary

Pay Rate - Commensurate with relevant experience as well as the responsibilities of the position.

Reports to: Maintenance Manger

Summary/Objective

The Flytrex Team is looking for a driven individual that wants to join our Team in Texas as a Drone Maintenance Technician. Here at Flytrex, you will work closely with our detail-oriented team to operate the Flytrex Drone Delivery system in flight test, research, and development (R&D), and commercial operations capacity.

We are looking for an individual that is motivated to change the world by applying critical thinking, sound judgment, and interpersonal skills to safely expand the Flytrex Drone Delivery System across our clients and internal needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Flytrex Drone Delivery System
  • Support and troubleshoot Flytrex aircraft flown by our operators
  • Maintain mechanical hardware/software as assigned by maintenance management
  • Maintain comprehensive notes and documentation associated with Drone repair services
  • Support shipping and receiving of parts and equipment to keep the fleet operational
  • Conduct repair services on-site or at a designated repair location
  • Interpret flight logs and positively identify faults
  • Support partner demonstrations and presentations
  • Conduct RTS (return to service) tests as required

What You’ll Bring

  • Current CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Repair center experience Part 135 or 145
  • Technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of Autopilot control systems
  • Highly effective verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to groups
  • Effective technical writing skills
  • Able to physically lift equipment up to 55 lbs
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills

  • Have drone building experience
  • Familiar with Arducopter and Mission Planner/Q Ground Control

Work Environment

This job operates in outdoor environments including inclement and hot weather, extreme-cold conditions, in addition to limited office work.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a vehicle. He or she performs the tasks of this duty and is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time; run; stand; walk; use hands to, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Travel - Travel up to 15%

Citizenship - This position requires U.S. Citizenship.
