Clinical Lead - UK
London, UK
About the role:
You'll be one of the first people on the ground in the UK, and you'll own how clinical care runs here. Working directly with the UK GM, you'll build the clinical engine of the launch: the clinician network behind every member's results, how results review and escalation actually work, and the standard of care we hold people to. This is a rare opportunity to shape a market's model from day one, not inherit someone else's.
You'll also be the voice of regulation. You own the relationship with our regulators and drive the two workstreams that let us operate: CQC, which governs the clinical service, and MHRA, which governs the platform and products.
We move quickly, operate with high ownership, and expect every person to think in outcomes, not activities. We're an AI-first team: every person is expected to use AI tools to work faster and produce higher quality output.
Responsibilities and scope:
Clinical operations: Own how clinical care runs in the UK: results review, doctor capacity and allocation, turnaround, and the escalation pathway for critical findings.
Clinician network: Recruit, contract, and manage the UK clinician network. Set the standard for what good review looks like and hold people to it. Start lean on a contractor model and build from there.
Regulation (CQC and MHRA): Own our relationship with the regulators and drive both paths to compliance: CQC for the clinical service, MHRA for the platform and products.
Clinical governance: Stand up and run our governance framework: incident reporting, significant events, safeguarding, complaints, the audit cycle, and clinician competency and appraisal. Adapt what works from Australia and make it pass inspection.
Diagnostic partners: Front our lab and imaging partner conversations where clinical credibility opens the door. Ownership of partner workflow, pricing and commercials sits with the GM and ops; you bring the clinical face.
Protocol design (what we test and offer): Work with the GM and the Australian clinical team to shape what the Everlab programme includes in the UK: which tests, consults and care make the cut, what regulation rules out, and where the NHS changes the answer. Grow into refining it over time.
What we are looking for:
Clinical operations experience: You've built and run clinical operations in regulated independent healthcare or a healthtech - results review, clinician capacity, escalation.
Builds and scales from scratch: You can stand up a clinical operation and governance framework without a team on day one, adapting what already works from Australia rather than waiting for a finished manual. Much of this doesn't exist here yet.
Clinical credibility: You’re almost certainly a doctor, or someone whose clinical standing commands the respect of the doctors they recruit. You do not need to hold current GMC registration; but having it will allow you to experience delivering the service first-hand.
Regulatory fluency: You've operated inside CQC-regulated healthcare and understand the split between CQC (the service) and MHRA (the platform and products). You don't need to have run a registration, but you know what good looks like and can be our credible voice with the regulators.
Commercial instinct: You can run or oversee the onboarding consult as both a clinical and a sales conversation, and front partner relationships where a clinical face helps.
Ownership: You look for it rather than wait for it. You'll be the person in the business who understands UK clinical regulation, and everyone will treat you accordingly.
Comfortable with ambiguity: Much of what we're doing has no settled precedent in the UK. You'll form a view, take advice where it matters, and move.
(Nice to have) Startup or scaleup experience: You've worked somewhere small and fast, and you know which corners can't be cut.
