Starting from the early days of agentic hype, we have been developing as a “tiger team” 🐯 the DeepL Agent internally and dog-fooding now to the full AI company. The DeepL Agent is a general-purpose AI agent designed to autonomously handle a wide range of business tasks through natural language instructions. From building and researching sales account lists, to translating and publishing website content – it's built to streamline the repetitive, time-consuming work you do every day.

Your responsibilities

• Own features from prototyping up to production readiness

• Establish systems & rules to keep the codebase maintainable and extendable by AI or even our designer (they code too)

• Continuously evaluate how to keep maintenance costs minimal while improving the product

• Develop robust state management solutions

• Partner with customers and designers to identify optimal solutions for our users

• Write clear, testable code and verify its correctness through unit and E2E testing or ship depending on what the situation calls for

• Work in a full-stack environment and don’t be scared of a back-end, infra and AI tooling

• Participation in our on-call rotation: You’ll ensure the reliability and availability of our services by being available to join the team's shared on-call rotation as needed

Qualities we look for

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and software engineering principles.

• Strong experience with React

• Several years of professional experience in software/web development, working in a team environment

• A passion for tackling challenging problems and a growth mindset, working with other engineers to drive innovative solutions and enhance product development

• Fluent in English
