Meet the team behind this journey
Since launching DeepL US in October 2023, we’ve rapidly expanded our Austin office to over 40 team members, primarily in sales. What began with a Head of US Sales has grown into a strong leadership team, now including an Enterprise Sales Manager and a Mid-Market Sales Manager. We've made a powerful impact in the AI translation space—and with the addition of another sales leader, we're only gaining momentum.
That's where you come in! DeepL is seeking a dynamic sales leader to join our high-performing, results-driven team. We’d love for you to take on this pivotal role in driving our ambitious revenue growth in a fast-paced, ever-evolving market. You’ll bring the energy, strategic insight, and sales expertise needed to build, inspire, and empower your team to consistently exceed their targets—all while collaborating closely with our incredible cross-functional partners.
You'll craft and implement a dynamic sales strategy to expand our market share while ensuring exceptional customer and team satisfaction. Leading a team of highly motivated, top-performing sales professionals, you'll drive both new customer acquisition and revenue growth within our existing client base.
Your responsibilities
Provide strong leadership, vision, and direction for the sales team and broader DeepL sales organization.
Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, including recruiting, onboarding, and training.
Drive sales success by leading prospect meetings, conducting forecast reviews, and accurately reporting progress to senior management.
Collaborate with marketing and outbound sales teams to build pipeline and drive market awareness.
Engage with C-level executives, manage key client relationships, and address significant customer concerns.
Establish policies, processes, and strategies to ensure revenue growth while maintaining deep industry and competitive knowledge.
Qualities we look for
10+ years of software sales experience, including 3-5+ years in sales management, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Experience leading a team of Strategic/Mid-Market Account Executives in a B2B software sales environment.
Strong ability to hire, train, and develop high-performing sales teams.
Excellent presentation, communication, and listening skills with a results-driven, self-motivated mindset.
Fluency in English required; business-level Spanish or French is a plus.
