Meet the team behind this journey
As the FP&A Senior Analyst, you will be focused on building a financial forecast and analyzing the complete corporate view (full P&L) of DeepL to drive strategic decisions. You will support both budgeting and operational execution by partnering with executives and leaders across the company. You should expect to work cross-functionally and lead analysis of key financial and operational metrics.
The FP&A team is responsible for providing commercial, operational and analytical support to continue scaling rapidly and efficiently. It also owns the company's budget, drives annual planning processes, and allocates and deploys the company's resources efficiently. The role requires someone who is highly analytical and strategic, can keep the big picture in mind while getting into the weeds, approaches problems in a structured manner, is a great communicator, and is comfortable with ambiguity.
This role will have substantial visibility, focus on highest-priority business issues and be plugged into every face of the business.
Your responsibilities
Build, own and manage full corporate operating financial model
Prepare monthly and quarterly management and Board reporting, analyzing performance results, distilling key trends, assessing business risk and supporting decision making
Create a culture of performance management with cross-functional engagement based in data insights and KPIs
Partner with Accounting and Procurement teams for data cleanliness and produce cash flow forecasting and analytics
Identify initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale reporting processes
Develop ROI frameworks for ad hoc strategic initiatives
Qualities we look for
2+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking; preferably with some experience in a high-growth SaaS environment
Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel or Google Sheets is critical, and skilled in presentation tools like PowerPoint and Google Slides
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a strategic mindset
Ability to flex between partnering with senior leadership and working through data sets and detailed modelling, analysis and reporting
Clear and concise communication skills, including working collaboratively with diverse teams and influencing senior leadership
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
