Meet the teams behind this journey

As a Copywriter at DeepL, your primary responsibility is to create compelling marketing content tailored specifically to our business audiences across a multitude of platforms. This encompasses a wide range of materials including campaigns, email newsletters, landing pages, social media posts, video scripts, white papers, blog articles, customer stories, ads, and newsletters. Your work involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to gather insights that inform and enhance our content strategy. Your ultimate objective is to generate copy that deeply resonates with our customers, demonstrating a profound understanding of our product. Moreover, you'll actively contribute to initiatives aimed at elevating DeepL's brand visibility and driving lead generation. Working closely with the marketing team, you'll play a key role in shaping and refining our content strategy, always striving to adhere to industry best practices. Your sharp focus on optimization will facilitate continuous improvement, including the implementation of A/B testing to pinpoint messaging that most effectively connects with our target audience.

Your responsibilities

  • Produce clear, engaging long- and short-form marketing materials for our business audiences: campaigns, email, landing pages, social media, video scripts, white papers, blog posts, customer stories, ads and newsletters

  • Collaborate directly with corporate stakeholders, internally and externally, to source information that enriches DeepL’s business-facing content

  • Draft and edit compelling copy that speaks the way our customers speak and demonstrates deep understanding of the product

  • Contribute to content that drives DeepL’s brand awareness and generates leads

  • Work with our marketing team to help enrich our content strategy

  • Follow content marketing best practices to continuously improve DeepL’s digital experience

  • Write with an eye for continuous optimization and interest in A/B testing to refine key messages to understand what resonates with our target audiences

Qualities we look for
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role in tech, ideally in a B2B SaaS company, with a portfolio of work

  • You understand B2B audiences and know how to adjust your tone of voice and communicate business value clearly

  • You have an eye for a story and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and engaging messages

  • You’re a stellar verbal and written communicator, a master of tone of voice and style, and a sharp-eyed editor

  • Excellent research skills: You know where to source information, how to incorporate case studies, proven data points, and persona-based messaging into your content

  • You understand the different segments of the marketing funnel and you know how to create copy that converts

  • Strong sense of ownership for your projects, from inception to final delivery

  • Very comfortable working cross-functionally and cross-culturally, a self-starter, and a quick learner
