Since 2015 Cybus’ Team has been steadily growing to over 30 people with the unifying mission to push innovation in the manufacturing industry. What we do
In a nutshell: Cybus’ Industrial IoT software product Connectware is an on-premise solution that provides a communication layer enabling our customers in the manufacturing industry to connect their machines and make smart factories a reality.

About the role
Position and tasks
Mission: Strategic and operational leadership of the entire “revenue engine,” from new customer acquisition (enterprise) to long-term customer retention and expansion.
Key objective: Build a scalable, data-driven organization to establish Connectware among leading industrial companies.
Focus: Transition from project-based delivery to a standardized operating model (playbooks, KPIs) to support international growth.
- Sales Leadership: Strategic planning and operational implementation of scalable B2B sales strategies with a focus on new customer acquisition.
- Customer Success Excellence: Responsibility for adoption, retention, and strategic account management.
- Expansion Management: Systematic identification and realization of up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Close collaboration with product development, marketing, and partner management (e.g., Tier-1 integrators).
- Team Leadership: Building, coaching, and developing a high-performing team comprising Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills
- Strategic leadership experience: Several years of experience in a senior B2B sales or customer success role (ideally as Head of Sales, Sales Director, or VP), with proven expertise in scaling enterprise organizations.
- Industrial IoT Industry Expertise: In-depth understanding of industrial value chains, manufacturing processes (Industry 4.0/Smart Factory), and the specific requirements of complex industrial software.
- Execution & Transformation: Proven ability to transform from project-driven delivery to scalable, data-driven processes (playbooks for Sales & CS, CRM optimization).
- Management of Enterprise Cycles: Experience managing long sales cycles (6–18 months) and six-figure deal sizes, as well as the ability to manage complex stakeholder structures and partners (Tier-1 integrators).
- Language Skills & C-Level Presence: Fluency in German and English, along with the ability to communicate persuasively at the C-level and act as a trusted advisor

- Data-Driven Sales & Customer Success Mindset: Strong analytical skills for optimizing sales funnels, accurate forecasting, and measurable customer value creation (time-to-value).
- Experience with international expansion: Ideally, experience in supporting or leading international rollout strategies (e.g., market entry in the U.S. or Singapore).
- Strategic Consulting Background: Experience in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey or comparable firms) with a focus on digital transformation and clear responsibility for implementation.
