We are seeking an operational People & Culture Specialist (f/m/n) to join the Blacklane People & Culture team on a part-time basis (25–30 hours per week). In this role, you will help co-design, implement, and deliver best practices across Saudi Arabia and Dubai, supporting Blacklane’s continued growth in the region.

The position will be based in our Riyadh office with a hybrid working setup. Reporting directly to the Director of People Partnering and Operations, you will play a key role in shaping a distinctive, world-class employee experience across Blacklane Middle East.

As our offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia are still relatively new, we are looking for someone with strong local knowledge who can provide hands-on, on-site support and help establish effective people practices from the ground up.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Be a trusted partner to leaders and people managers mainly in Saudi Arabia and Dubai. You build strong relationships with all stakeholders in your region and you influence through compassionate and contextualized coaching. You act with a sense of urgency and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while you carry out processes from end to end.
  • Be the employment law expert for Saudi Arabia and Dubai, help us set up contracts, manage portals and benefit providers- hands on and every day tasks: you should use your labour knowledge to support your org and help train your peers and the wider team.
  • Provide end to end support on probation, performance and termination discussions. Act as the gate keeper of our values, course correct under performance, identify any emerging themes and problem cases and act with integrity in resolving problems.
  • Roll up your sleeves to define, develop and implement a wide range of people initiatives like setting up new tools and providers or support change management at team, division and company level. You are in charge of the process and should not shy away from operational to dos.
  • You have the ability to solve problems; you take initiative to seek internal and external resources when problem-solving. You analyze trends and metrics in partnership with different stakeholders to design and quickly implement solutions in a pragmatic approach.
  • Be a mediator. You are able to facilitate discussions with competing personalities within business units and across locations, read the room and foster constructive debate and respond to organizational changes in an effective way.
  • Innovate and try out new things. Continuously assess the people’s experience at Blacklane. Provide insightful data to develop, innovate, and improve our existing People & Culture processes.
  • Be a great team player. Collaborate closely with other People & Culture teams (i.e. Strategy & Reward, Talent Attraction, Workplace Experience) and external partners to keep shaping and creating a coherent and seamless employee journey.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strong background in People and Culture topics. You have 2+ years of solid experience in an operational role in the middle east within large scale ups. You demonstrate versatile competencies in organizational design, talent management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and change management. Ideally, you’ve had exposure globally and can partner up with people and leaders across our global hubs (Germany, Spain, France, UK, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia).
  • Go-getter: You are a self-motivated and enthusiastic people partner, strong problem-solver, with fine tuned instincts and excellent people skills.
  • Analytical: You get excited about data, tech and use metrics and data to determine the best ways to approach challenges. You are comfortable with numbers and turning insights into actionable solutions.
  • Autonomy: You own excellent prioritization and project management skills to organize and structure your work to deliver best in class results.
  • Great communication skills: You are comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels, carrying courageous conversations and building strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders. Proficiency in English and Arabic is a must, any other languages an advantage.
  • Innovative and flexible: You are the champion of staying up to date with global HR trends . You are able to try out new approaches, are comfortable with ambiguity, and manage multiple things on the fly.
  • Passion: You have a deep passion for technology, the travel industry, and the ground transportation space, as well as Blacklane’s products and services.
