YOUR CHALLENGE:

Join our newly established AI Lab and shape the future of AI at Blacklane. You will build and lead a company-wide hub of expertise that reports directly to the CTO – acting as both a strategic driver and operational accelerator for all AI initiatives.

• Develop and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI adoption across the organization.
• Identify opportunities in the organisation and assess feasibility of AI adoption and technical implementation.
• ensure all AI initiatives align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact.
• Foster a company-wide AI culture through trainings, capability building, and an AI Champion network.
• Translate technology trends into actionable use cases and guide their journey from prototypes to integration within product teams.
• Coordinate the work of AI Engineers and other stakeholders to drive rapid, reliable, and safe execution.
• Oversee AI governance and ethical standards and define data and model safety guidelines.
• Keep Blacklane at the forefront of AI developments by continuously scouting innovations and emerging technologies.

ABOUT YOU:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and implementation, including LLMs and Generative AI.
• Highly self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset and passion for creating impact in the organisation through technology
• A strong generalist with deep technical knowledge and the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communicator who can make complex AI concepts relatable to both technical teams and C-level stakeholders.
• Proven track record in organizational change management and driving transformation initiatives.
• Comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on delivery to validate use cases, develop prototypes, and bring AI solutions to production.
• Passion for sharing knowledge, creating multiplier effects, and enabling a responsible AI culture.
• Bonus: Experience in mobility/logistics, contributions to open-source projects, or additional language skills (e.g., German).
