As an Analytics (Senior) Manager at Blacklane, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Data Analysts, guiding them in delivering high-quality, actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will play a pivotal role in defining the analytics strategy, setting team priorities, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Your strong leadership skills, combined with deep expertise in data analytics, will be essential in fostering a data-driven culture and achieving our strategic objectives.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Analysts, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Define and drive the analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to identify and address analytical needs.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of analytical projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and relevance of insights.
  • Own the Data Catalog for the company to provide standardized metrics to stakeholders
  • Develop and implement best practices for data modeling, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Ensure effective communication of insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Support Product and Engineering teams with data collection (tracking concepts, data quality, analyses and experimentation)
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Foster a data-driven culture, promoting the use of data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of Data Analysts or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business impact.
  • Experience with data transformation tools (e.g. DBT) and data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) and related data services.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
